Precious Duke is the biggest sweetheart & is recovering well under our vet’s care. He greets everyone with a big goofy smile & wants to give them kisses. He also loves to lean against you. This is amazing given he was thrown from a car into a park so weak and exhausted that he could hardly walk. The good samaritans who saved him contacted us & we could not say no. We will never understand how people can do this. Duke walks great on leash, knows “sit”, takes treats gently, appears housebroken, & didn’t react to dogs during his walk with our volunteer. He just wanted to be with with the volunteer. Unconditional love. You can tell he was truly loved at some point in his life. He is being treated for heartworms, erlichea & a bad ear infection & is underweight. But the smile never leaves his face. Whoever adopts or fosters Duke will hit the jackpot.
